OUR DRILL SARGEANT SGT. PEREZ, I RESPECTED VERY MUCH, HE DID EVERYTHING WE HAD TO DO, RUGGED MAN HE WAS, HE CAUGHT ME SNEAKING IN SOME BEER IN THE BARRACKS ONE NIGHT, LUCKILY HE WAS DRINKING TOO, HAA, HE SAID, HEY WHATCHA GOT IN THAT BAG, I FIGURED SHIIIT, I AM IN TROUBLE NOW, BUT, HE LOOKED, GRABBED A BEER AND I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT IT, LATER A FEW WEEKS LATER HE WAS OUT DRIVING AROUND AND HE PICKED ME AND TWO OTHER GUYS UP AND SAID, HEY YOU GUYS WANT TO GO DOWN TO THE LOOP IN LOUISVILLE, I SAID, SURE, SO OFF WE WENT, WHEN WE GOT BACK THEY HAD US MARKED DOWN AS AWOL, HE LOOKED AT THE SARGEANT ON DUTY AND SAID, THESE GUYS WERE WITH ME, NEVER GOT IN ANY TROUBLE, THATS WHY I ALWAYS LIKE HIM, REAL NICE GUY AND DOWN TO EARTH, LATER FRENCHIE

I AM IN THE PICTURE AT THE TOP LEFT, AND SARGEANT PEREZ WAS IN THE MIDDLE AT THE BOTTOM ROW, GREAT DRILL SERGEANT, WE GOT ALONG GREAT, THATS WHERE I GUESS MY HELL RAISING ALL BEGAN, HAA, SGT. PEREZ HE WAS THE BEST.

Guntruck Names: King Cobra Guntruck
Brief Bio: Wounded & Served on the King Cobra as 50 Cal Gunner in Phutai 71-72, 597th Trans, 8th Group, ambushed headed to Tuo Hoa and couple of times headed North to Pleiku
Still living up in Maine and Still moving a little bit of everything else, and enjoy now the Grandkids, later Bruce aka Frenchie

NOT SURE, I NEVER PAID ANY ATTENTION TO THAT, BUT FORT KNOX, I BELIEVE DID HAVE ARMOR, BUT I DIDN'T STAY THERE, EXCEPT JUST TO COMPLETE BASIC.
